Important Questions and their Answers.

Who founded Sikhism? When & Why?

Sikhism was founded by Guru Nanak Dev Ji in 1469. Guru ji founded it because the society at that time was gripped with a number of social evils - caste system, practice of sati, idolatry, worship of multiple God, untouchability , purdah system, inequality between men and women etc.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji came as a light and removed the people from the darkness and gave them a systematic, practical, logical and scientific way of living. After Guru Nanak Dev Ji, all the nine Sikh Gurus added an important attribute to the soul of Sikhism. Guru Gobind Singh Ji finally gave completion to the foundation of Sikhism.
